A Reflection and A New Year of Unlimited Opportunities

Reflection of The Past

I have been in a pensive mood lately, reflecting back on everything Dominick and I accomplished in 2013, and  I’m about ready to clear my head of the past and focus on all the unlimited opportunities in my present.  I’m actually quite excited for 2014!  I feel it will be a great year full of learning, reaching goals, trials and tribulations, that’s life and we embrace the “good” and even that which is deemed “bad”.  It took a lot for me to embrace my sorrow and to embrace all my  feelings for that matter.  In fact it was a goal of mine in 2012 to master my thoughts and feelings and though I believe that may be a life-long goal, I made giant progress from then to now, in my humble opinion. Most of the time I feel, calm, peaceful and loving but the fire that burns inside me is fueled by my passionate fiery emotions. I made it a mission to say it’s okay to cry, it’s okay to scream, it’s okay to let it out because it brings back the calm, the zen. If we were given this incredible range of emotions and feelings why wouldn’t we explore them and understand them for what they are worth?

I was always taught my whole life not to cry and that anger is bad. Though it may be “bad” it may be necessary, the real lesson is learning how to express this emotion or this “negative energy” and make it into something eerily beautiful. In 2013  these words empowered me to love all aspects of myself  and in turn I admire these emotions in others and encourage it.

Sorrow, you are my light
Everything my heart desires
Show me your beautiful anger
Sorrow, keeping me sane
You turn my nights into days
I love your beautiful anger

When I am tempted to give up
And the winter’s drowning me with memories and loss
I leave my hungry mind outside
‘cause there’s a beauty inside
And sorrow is fueling my fire

-IAMX

In 2013 I listened to a great deal of IAMX, a European band created by a beautiful independent artist; Chris Corner. You may know him from his earlier days with Sneaker Pimps, or you might not. They aren’t incredibly popular in the USA, although in 2013 IAMX used PledgeMusic to raise money and travel the world performing their new album “The Unified Field” and I got to see them live in NYC this past spring! The spring of 2013 into summer was a whirlwind of action and excitement and also sadness and loss. IAMX seemed to have just the right words to say.

Dominick and I had planned around New Years Eve 2012 into 2013 that we were going to move to a progressive area where we could grow ourselves and start our businesses; in a larger, richer city, Washington D.C. We would visualize ourselves living in D.C., we would imagine ourselves doing the things we love there and we planned for hours. I decided to set the plan in motion, I sold and gave away as much as I could to be light and free and I moved to the east coast where I would store mostly everything we owned at my parents house in upstate NY. I hadn’t seen them in a couple of years and so I decided spending time with them would give me an opportunity to show them all about living a purified lifestyle, it was perfect. But Dominick had to stay and tie up loose ends and I knew if I stayed the fire wouldn’t have stayed lit, I had an opportunity to go and continue the momentum in reaching our goal and so I did.

It was the hardest thing I had to do in 2013, leave my partner, friends, house, garden, and our beloved cat, Nixanne. Luckily the new tenants really wanted to keep her since they had been wanting a cat anyway,  it actually worked out perfect because we didn’t want to take Nixanne out of her neighborhood with all her cat friends. When something is meant to be it seems everything just falls into place.

Dominick and I did as much planning as possible but somethings we just left to fate. We didn’t know where we would work or live but we knew that the perfect opportunities would show themselves. We thought we might stay at the lake in upstate NY for the summer to clear our minds, meditate and wait for our next set of opportunities but they came sooner than we thought possible and we were living and working in D.C. 2 months later. It’s crazy how simple it is but how hard it is at the same time to let go of the past, let go of your fears, be what you want to be, do what you have to do, and have what you want to have to reach you goals …and it all started from a thought.

Consider that at times the most trying, testing, difficult situation may be a form of Spiritual initiation or rite of passage in some way to master something and raise consciousness. The overall astrological aspects suggest this is what is happening, each individual is testing themselves to rise to a higher levelthrough a challenge in some form.

“…Some people right now leading up to the New Moon in Capricorn, are feeling the strong driving push for purging, cleansing and letting go. It is downright uncomfortable and possibly full of grief, intense emotions or even deep fears coming up. This is par for the course now. Go with it, be with it, accept it. Get some rest if you feel exhausted. It will shift soon enough.

“Pay attention to about 3 days before hand, especially New Years Eve it is wise to have awareness, be alert and make conservative choices and actions. People may express pent-up aggression, anger, possible erratic driving on the roads or while travel,  arguments or disagreements may occur.

A look into the Future

My future starts out in the form of a list, which is my seed, I water this seed with action and it effortlessly grows into reality.

Resolutions / Intentions / Goals

-Make delicious food that nourishes our bodies.

-Share as much “genuine love-light” as possible.

-Create stunning recipe e-books.

-Teach more demos and workshops on living-raw food and acro-dance.

-Increase my flexibility and maintain strength.

-Meet as many new people as possible and build community.

-Make more videos.

-Continue learning everything that intrigues me.

-Continue living and teaching a purified lifestyle.

Under all of those I write a bit of sub-text to explain how I’ll go about each of these things but for the sake of keeping this post relatively short I will keep that to myself.

“The Capricorn New Moon on January 1 is a SuperMoon. This means it is extra potent. The New Moon is closest to the earth and in direct alignment with the Sun and the Earth.

“New Moons are new beginnings. You have a new start in Capricorn. The structures of your life are to be examined and changed as needed….The Capricorn New Moon message is time to upgrade and improve your life.

“Capricorn is the goat climbing to the mountain top…You are to climb higher and merge with your God Consciousness.  Pulling your Higher Consciousness into your choices will empower you to live an authentic life. You will live from love not fear. You are a great spiritual being. You are having a human experience. You are a powerful creator. What do you want to create in the New Year?
