When dry weather hits, feed your skin with real ingredients, like this organic homemade vapor rub that also doubles as a body butter. Shea butter, coconut oil, and almond oil are the perfect remedies for dry skin. Add in a bit of eucalyptus, peppermint and lavender and you have a soothing, sinus opening vapor rub; the natural equivalent to Vick’s Vapor Rub.
I use this stuff everywhere, on my face, feet, hands, lips, chest, hair/scalp etc. It smells and feels luxurious, plus its super easy to make, just blend it all together and put it in a glass container.
The other day Dominick and I gave each other spa treatments with this stuff. I massaged it into is scalp and hair to combat dandruff, I also gave him a facial by just massaging the oils into his skin and then wiping away the excess with a cold wash cloth. Then we gave each other full body moisturizing massages. The scent just relaxes you and feels so good on sore muscles. Needless to say we love this stuff, it’s amazing!
Real ingredients have real nutrients and benefits, so get rid of the petroleum and synthetic products and start using real ingredients that your skin will soak in, eat up and thank you for. Your skin can glow in the winter, just make sure you keep hydrated with extra water and lots of body butter!
