Total Time5 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup brazil nuts
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 2/3 cup apple cider; 1-2 juiced apples
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup agave
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg; freshly grated
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar I ground mine into a powder with a spice grinder
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Juice about 1-2 apples and set aside
  • Process the oats in a food processor until it turns into flour.
  • Add in the brazil nuts and process again until fine
  • Add the rest of the dry ingredients and process once more.
  • Put the mixture into a mixing bowl and stir in the apple cider
  • Spread the mixture into a donut pan and dehydrate at 165 degrees for 1 hour (the food will not reach 165 degrees because of water evaporation therefore it is still raw)
  • Turn down the thermostat to 105 degrees and dehydrate for another 3-4 hours
  • Take donuts out of the plan by prying them with a knife or turning them over and tapping on the back until they pop out.

Notes

You can either refrigerate them and before serving dehydrate at 165 degrees for about 30 minutes, until warm -or- you can serve right away. Either way come back and comment here to tell me how amazing they are!
